Coding - Thinking Differently
Limited Capacity seats available

Today’s students are surrounded by technology. Many will enter into careers that depend on it. Luckily, they can start learning understanding how it works in Kindergarten (and the teacher doesn’t need a Computer Science background to do it!). Coding fits into all tiers of SAMR and introducing it is arguably one of the best activities to practice and develop the skills all students need to be problem solvers, collaborators, critical thinkers, and creators in a modern classroom. Attendees will experience coding in a hands on presentation, using their own internet ready devices to explore, learn and create. This session will share classroom successes, student stories, and many different resources and ideas to allow teachers to bring coding into their classroom, regardless of grade or experience.

Please bring a device such as a Chromebook or a laptop in order to try out some of the programs that will be shared.

I am passionate about education, kind of nerdy, love edtech, and look forward to sharing and learning something new. I am at home in the classroom with students (where I have been for over 7 years) because deep down I am still a big kid.
